There's a strong Cornish influence on this year's curtain raiser. We welcome the highly talented Alice Mumford with her nuanced still lifes and fresh work from Sarah Poland. Both have connections with Dartington and Totnes but both are firmly entrenched in the art world of St Ives.
On a recent visit to Cornwall, we were introduced to painter and gallerist Bo Hilton. A student of Ken Howard and a New English Art Club regular, his paintings are a welcome addition to the gallery. Cornish-based Simeon Stafford supplies sunshine and wit to proceedings while Sarah Bowman and Stephanie Dees furnish us with fresh work from recent trips to Porthleven and Carrick Roads.
