David Morgan lives and works in Devon. He paints in the plein air tradition and can often be found on a Devon beach or Dartmoor fulfilling his fascination for the ever-changing rhythms of light and dark upon the land, sea and sky.
He braves the climate in all seasons, using traditional methods and materials to produce work which emits the sensations, feelings and emotions he has for the landscape.
David is one of the gallery’s most popular artists and a bold, upcoming painter. The texture and three dimensional quality of his paintings instantly captures the senses. In recent years there has been a growing maturity to his work.
His dramatic use of oil and colour evokes powerful feelings in the viewer and never fails to generate interest and debate from art lovers of all ages and backgrounds.
His 2008 one-man show, A Devon Summer, was a huge success.
