Robert Race

Robert Race is identified on his passport as a toymaker, but his quirky and humorous work covers a broad spectrum, from moving toys – for children and adults – to automata, exhibition design and interactive collections of toys for museums. What typifies his art is the way he creates things which move in a simple and interesting way. His moving toys and automata incorporate a variety of natural, re-used and recycled materials.
