Henrietta Corbett

Henrietta Corbett’s pieces are hand built using a mixture of crank and porcelain clay. The works are all raku fired in an outdoor kiln using the reduction process and are glazed with raku glazes in copper, turquoise and white.

Henrietta’s sculpture, ceramics, prints and paintings are rich in textures and simple yet dynamic form. Her totemic creatures, her stylised horses and birds stand, or are forged, in the abstracted landscape.

Having studied Fine Art (Sculpture and Printmaking) at Wolverhampton Polytechnic under Anish Kapoor and Nicola Hicks, Henrietta has become one of Leicestershire’s most widely recognised artists.
