Mizuyo Yamashita is a Japanese ceramicist based in London. Her work ranges from small objects to installation, currently she is making tableware on the wheel.

Her inspiration comes from Asian and European potteries. Mizuyo has recently explored Japanese and Korean techniques such as Shinogi (fluting) and Mishima (inlaying). By applying them to Western shapes, she is trying to imbue her work with a modern, yet earthly feel.
